Lodging Your Written Learner Logbook

Once you have completed and filled out your 100 hours, you can submit your written Learner Logbook to any Australia Post office for it to be sent to the Department of Transport and Main Roads for approval. You can now submit your logbook with a signed copy of the Driving Experience Declaration form before you turn 17 year old, to ensure all of your required paperwork is completed and approved before sitting your practical driving test.  You still need to hold your Learners Permit for a minimum of 12 months before sitting the driving test. It takes at least 12 business days for DTMR to receive and process your logbook.

Lodging Your "QLD Learner Logbook" App

When you have completed your 100 hours via your Logbook app, please ensure you submit the information for approval by DTMR.

You will not be allowed to take your practical driving test until your logbook has been checked and 'passed' by The Department of Transport and Main Roads. Your driving test fee may not be refunded if you fail to lodge your completed logbook prior to your practical driving test.
