ABOUT ANCHOR DRIVER TRAINING
The Porter Family who has a very proud Australian history started Anchor Driving School back in 1983.
George Porter served in the Australian Navy in WWII and this is where the name “Anchor” comes from. George and Kath started the school with a yellow Datsun-120Y and their son John took over the business in 1993. When he married Michaela in 1999, she too joined the family business. John and Michaela Porter now run the family owned School and since 1983 the Porters have earned an excellent reputation as a reliable and ethical Driving School providing quality tuition at a reasonable price.
Because of the proud history and hard work that has been put into making the school what it is today, John and Michaela are very particular about the Instructors who represent the Anchor name. Each one is carefully chosen not just to fill a job, but because they are very patient, friendly and professional by providing a safe and happy learning environment.
Since it’s early days, the school has grown in size and is now the largest in the Logan area with around ten vehicles. Even though this sounds like a lot, every team member strives to maintain the highest professional standard possible and still keeping that personal touch. Right from the initial enquiry, through to when your Drivers Licence is obtained, all Instructors are qualified and trained to the highest levels also being very helpful and informative – even the Office Staff.
Anchor Driving School has proven to the public to provide superior quality service and now also carries the RACQ recommendation.
These are just some of the reasons why the local community have entrusted the Logo and Name of Anchor Driving School and we hope, that you do too.
...“We all feel very honoured when a client chooses us over any other Driving School and we will try our hardest to give them the best service and attention they deserve.” John and Michaela Porter.
